Good Taste is the Worst Vice

Japan 2015

August 25, 2014

Exciting news: D and I booked tickets to Japan this spring!  What better way to celebrate than with these cute buckwheat cookies and some ume (plum) liqueur?

As you can imagine, I’m nose-deep in researching and planning places to go and things to do eat.

Our itinerary will likely be something like 5 days in Tokyo, overnight in a ryokan near Hakone to enjoy the hot springs and kaiseki dinner in our room, 4 days based in Osaka (with day trips to Kyoto, etc), and then Hiroshima and Miyajima for one night.  Final night will be near Narita airport for a morning flight home – arriving a bit before we leave, thanks to the magic of the International Date Line.

Let me know if you have suggestions.

Just seven and a half months to go!
